AI agent integration

Set up with your AI agent

Connect your application using your coding agent, project context, and a verifiable delivery.

Prepare your project

Create your account, organization, and project in the dashboard. In the project's Overview, select Set up with AI to obtain the project-specific setup prompt.

Configure credentials locally

Create a project API key and save its one-time value as CASCADEHOOK_API_KEY in your application's local environment or secret manager. Let your agent load it without printing it. Keep the key out of chat and source control.

CASCADEHOOK_API_KEY=YOUR_PROJECT_API_KEY

The key grants broad project access. Development and Live labels have the same permissions. Choose an appropriate expiry and use an agent you trust.

Give the agent context

Open your application repository with your coding agent and paste the setup prompt. It includes the project ID, API address, and documentation links, without credentials.

The agent should verify the key's project identity, inspect your framework, and ask which business event and public HTTPS receiver to use. It can then prepare server-side publication and receiver code, register an endpoint, configure its secret, verify ownership, and publish an agreed event.

Deployment access and a public receiver URL may require your help. Existing resources should be inspected and reused before creating replacements.

Confirm a delivery

Ask for the event ID, delivery ID, and observed delivery state. Confirm that the matching delivery succeeded. A 202 receipt confirms acceptance only; a succeeded delivery confirms receiver acknowledgement, not downstream work.
